New Client Info
THANK YOU for the opportunity to earn your business!  We appreciate and value our clientele, and would like to give you a few tips and suggestions to assist you with a smooth experience...
ALL countertop fabricators, tile installers, cabinet makers, SHOULD accompany their clients on the shopping portion of the final selection.  These are the experts in their field and should be prepared to assist in supplying you, the client, with the appropriate information on not only a visual of what the end product's color will look like, but the quality, size, and type of materials selected for the application and tailored to your lifestyle--this type of SERVICE should always be made available to the client (an added value to the client which FGCTT supplies at no extra charge)--this helps in preventing future costly mistakes!

Please keep in mind any construction, whether it is new countertops, cabinets or tile can be a messy endeavor, particularly the removal of tile.  We always recommend you prepare the home if this is a remodel, for a very fine dust, by placing plastic sheeting at the doorways.  Keep in mind that  the fine dust can be carried by the air ducts as well, so please cover those vents too!  Tile is cut outdoors, as well as the holes for faucets and drop in sinks for the granite countertops, therefore, most of that dust is kept outdoors, but sometimes it carries in on the countertops and tile.  My installers are VERY meticulous and will certainly clean up their areas of any debris (we even have you sign off on this portion of your install to ensure we are picking up and cleaning up after ourselves).  That's not to say there won't be any lingering dust in the air that may settle, so please don't be alarmed, it can easily be cleaned with either Windex or Pledge, depending on the surface it is on.

COUNTERTOPS

TEMPLATE

Our templaters will need your countertops to be cleared of all items--as we make a template of your existing countertops or cabinets, which gives us an exact shape of your kitchen and/or bath tops.  Please discuss any changes you would like to see occur on your countertops (ie:  faucets off-set, extra overhang, flush overhang, etc.) with your FGCTT salesperson PRIOR to template, so they can relay this information to the proper personnel.  You may want to attend the templating, as whatever the templater takes away from the job and the cabinets dictate, unless otherwise instructed, will be how your countertop will be fabricated.  We strive for a "like a glove" fit, so this portion is imperative.  Please have any sinks, cooktops, faucets, etc., that will effect the installation of your new countertops on site at template (this is a good preventative measure that only FGCTT recommends).  If there are any changes needed to be made, best to "catch" them prior to material being cut!  We also strive for an accurate installation, so please be sure your cabinets are level.  Please note the sizes of the sinks which we sell are Kitchen Max size is 32 1/8" wide and 20 3/4" deep (2 different size sinks); Bathroom Vanity Max size is 19 1/4" x 15 1/2"--if you choose to select a sink of more depth or width, please be aware we may have to alter the set up, we will do our best to be able to use the sink, but cannot guarantee use of sink will be possible.

INSTALL

Before installation, please remove all items again from your countertops.  Also, please remove the top row of drawers and everything from underneath the sink.  There is dust and debris on every installation, so removing everything from the cabinets would be a good idea, but is not required.  If you have a drop-in cooktop or sink, there could be a considerable amount of fine dust during the cutout process.  Please be prepared to block doorways with plastic sheeting, if necessary.

CLIENT TOUCH UP WORK

There might be some touch up work that needs to be done by you after installation.  Sometimes the new tops don't cover up all of the areas where the old countertops were.  This is due to different profiles and thickness of the countertops.  There may also be some minor damage done to paint and/or wallpaper during the removal process, this will also need to be touched up.  The installer will sweep up and remove all debris, but there will be some cleaning to be done due to the dust caused by the installation.  Most of the time, this will be minor, depending on your project.

CARE AND UPKEEP

GRANITE--We have sealed your tops for you, but we suggest you reseal them once a year to maintain the best coverage (when condensation or water seeps into the stone instead of beeding on top, it is time to re-seal).  We recommend a cleaner/sealer all-in-one, every few weeks, for your granite, Rock Doctor, Custom's, Miracle Sealants, etc., cleaner/sealer sold at most Lowe's or Home Depot stores.  Also, grocery stores and Target, Wal-Mart, KMart also sell the granite cleaner wipes.  Try not to use any products with Ammonia, Bleach, Citrus (acid) as they could strip the granite of its seal.  For every day cleaning, use a low sudsing cleaner such as Simple Green or Ammonia-Free Windex.

QUARTZ (Silestone, Zodiaq), CORIAN--Don't allow any drain cleaners or floor strippers to sit on your solid surface material as they will eat away at the resins involved in processing the material.
